Windflower Bed and Breakfast is located just 4 km west of Turner Valley on Hwy 546. The town of Black Diamond is just a further 3 km from Turner Valley. Both towns provide many dining and shopping opportunities. Okotoks is just a 20 min drive away and has many of the big city amenities with a small town feel.

Just down the road on Hwy 546 is the Sheep River Provincial Park including recreation areas of Sandy McNabb and Bluerock located in Kananaskis Country. Brown Lowery Provincial Park, north of Millarville, is about a 25 min drive away and also offers many hiking trails. Both of these areas have many trails for hiking and horseback riding, and in the winter, Sandy McNabb offers ski and snowshoe trails, tobogganing and skating.
